Gogoro Partners with Bosch to Launch Electric Scooter Sharing Service in Berlin
August 05, 2016

Taiwan-based electric scooter maker Gogoro is collaborating with Coup, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bosch, to launch an electric scooter sharing program in Berlin, according to the press release of Gogoro on August 3. Coup is starting with 200 Gogoro scooters in Berlin, and will add more if the response is positive. The scooters will be available in the Berlin neighborhoods of Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. Customers will need to pay a flat-rate fee of 3 Euros (US$3.34; US$1=0.89 Euros) for 30 minutes or 20 Euros (US$22.29) for the whole day. The cooperation with Coup in Berlin marks the first time that Gogoro has expanded its business beyond Taiwan, where the company has sold over 10,000 such scooters since beginning sales last year.
